Deacons

Whitworth Church Deacons provide congregational care in many ways.  They provide encouragement and coordinate resources to our church family as needed.  

If you have a heart for helping others, consider joining their efforts through these opportunities:

• Care Meals - Prepare and occasionally serve or deliver food in times of bereavement, illness, or other short term special needs.

• Respite Caregivers - Provide a half day of personal time and relief for individuals whose spouse has a long-term illness.

• Handyman Helpers - Use carpentry, electrical, and plumbing experience, to assist single adults with household repairs or other needs that are difficult to meet when living alone.

• Chefs/Cooks plan and prepare food for special church dinners and functions.

Home Bound Visitation

Our Deacons regularly visit members who have become home bound. They bring our weekly worship bulletin, church news, and a recording of the weekly worship service so people can stay up-to-date with what's happening at Whitworth Church.
